DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA (www.incnow.tv) - Danica Patrick became the first woman ever to win a Sprint Cup race pole when she claimed the top spot for next Sunday's Daytona 500 on Sunday.
Patrick drove it at 196.434 miles per hour to edge out Jeff Gordon for the top spot.
They will make up the first row on race day, with the rest of the field to be lined up after the Duels at Dayton 125 mile races on Thursday.
Patrick won three poles in IndyCar and one in the Nationwide Series
