BROOKLYN, MICHIGAN (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Dale Earnhardt, Jr. snapped a 143 race winless streak in Sprint Cup racing with an impressive win at the Quicken Loans 400 at Michigan International Speedway Sunday.
Tony Stewart was a full five seconds behind Earnhardt at the finish, with points leader Matt Kenseth coming in third.
Earnhardt,' whose last win came at Michigan in June of 2008, thanked his legion of fans after the race for sticking with him in the long dry spell.
Earnhardt's win moved him with four points of Kenseth's lead in the point standings.
