Harnish Makes Colts 53 Man Rosters; Steelers Cut Essex

UNDATED (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Former Norwell star Chandler Harnish has made the 53 man Colts roster to open the 2012 NFL season.

Harnish may have sealed the deal with a strong showing in the finals preseason game win Thursday night over Cincinnati.

With the decision, the Colts will carry three quarterbacks into the season, barring a last minute deal to add a player via waivers before then.

The news was not as good Friday for offensive lineman and Harding grad Trai Essex, who was released by the Pittsburgh Steelers after seven seasons.
