DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA (www.incnow.tv) - Jimmie Johnson took the lead off a restart six laps from the end and won the Daytona 500 Sunday for the second time in his Sprint Cup career.
The win also came in his 400th career start, and a year after he only completed one lap in the same race.
Dale Earnhardt, Jr. was a second and a half behind in second with Mark Martin third, Brad Keselowski fourth and Ryan Newman fifth.
Polesitter Danica Patrick gave up the lead just after the start of the race, but did lead five laps, the first womam ever to lead the Daytona 500.
She was right with the leaders in the final lap but faded to eighth.
