Komets Blitz Wichita, Win Away From Cup

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The Komets scored their goals in bunches and moved within one win of the Ray Miron President's Cup with a 7-3 win over the Wichita Thunder Thursday night for a three game to none lead in the Final Series.

Kaleigh Schrock and Bryant Molle scored goals 32 seconds apart early in the first period, and then Daniel Maggio and Colin Chaulk notched scores 25 seconds apart in the second, with Leo Thomas making it 5-1 with a goal a little more than a minute after Chaulk's

After Wichita pulled within two on a pair of goals by Matt Summers late in the second period, Chaulk and Schrock restored the four goal margn with the second goal for each in the third period.

The Komets can wrap up the title with a sweep by winning Game 4 of the series Saturday night.
