NORTH CHARELSTON, SOUTH CAROLINA (www.incnow.tv) - The South Carolina Stingrays scored the only goal of the shootout to cop a 2-1 win over the Komets Friday night.
The Komets' lone score came on a first period goal by Nick Schaus on a feed from Brandon Marino five minutes into the game, a goal matched by South Carolina's Andre Chemiwchan ten minutes later.
And that was all through regulation and overtime, with the game being decided on the shootout goal by Tyler Johnson.
The Komets did gain a point in the standings, and meet South Carolina again on Saturday night.
