Komets Even Playoff Series With Rapid City

RAPID CITY, SOUTH DAKOTA (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Colin Chaulk scored from close range with 2:06 remaining in regulation to break a 1-1 tie, and the Komets went on to a 3-1 win over the Rapid City Rush Saturday night, evening their Central Hockey League playoff series at a game apiece.

Chualk's go ahead goal was followed 42 seconds later by an empty net score from Brett Smith that sealed the victory.

Kaleigh Schrock had given the K's an early 1-0 lead, but his goal was matched by Jesse Schultz 49 seconds into the second period, creating the 1-1 tie that Chaulk finally snapped with his goal

The Komets' home ice advantage finally takes hold now with the next three games all at the Memorial Coliseum starting with Game 3 Wednesday night.
