KALAMAZOO, MICHIGAN (www.incnow.tv) - Thomas Beauregard netted a three goal hat trick in leading the Komets' 6-5 win at Kalamazoo Saturday.
Beauregard's first two goals gave the K's a 3-1 second period lead, and ignited a four goal outburst that built a 5-1 lead.
Kalamazoo would cut that lead to 5-4 before Beauregard's third goal, an empty netter, provided the cushion needed at the end.
Daniel Maggio, Josh Brittain, and J.M. Rizk also scored for the K's, who lost goalie Marco Cousineau to an injury late in the game, with Charlie Effinger playing the last seven minutes.
