FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The Komets returned to practice Friday to begin preparations for their CHL Turner Conference semifinal playoff series with Rapid City.

The K's put in a hard 50 minutes skate, and will practice one day this weekend, then begin specific preparation for Rapid City on Monday.

There are mixed emotions about the long layoff between games, good because it heals up injuries, but bad because the K's don't want to lose the momentum from the Bloomington series.

They will leave by bus next Wednesday for Rapid City, and the trip may include a visit to Mount Rushmore, located near Rapid City.
