K's Add 2 More Defensemen (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - The Fort Wayne Komets signed two more defensemen Tuesday.

Drew Olson and Nick Tuzzolino become the 22nd and 23rd players on the K's preseason roster.

Olson, 23, of Brainerd, Minn., comes to Fort Wayne from Peoria, where he played five games in his first professional season. Olson played collegiately at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, and won an NCAA National Championship in the 2010-11 season.

Tuzzolino, 27, has six professional seasons under his belt, including a brief stint with the Komets in 2006-07. He has spent the past five seasons on different ECHL season, and made his professional debut with Flint of the International Hockey League in 2005.

The Komets open their season by hosting Toledo on Sat., Oct. 19. An exhibition game versus the Wheeling Nailers will be held the week before.
