FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - The Lake Erie Monsters will host an exhibition game on Oct. 4 at Memorial Coliseum.
Lake Erie, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Fort Wayne Komets and Colorado Avalanche, will host the Grand Rapids Griffins, the AHL affiliate of the the Toledo Walleye and the Detroit Red Wings. The game is at 7:30 p.m.
The game marks the first time Lake Erie has played in Fort Wayne; and the first appearance for Grand Rapids since 1999, when the Griffins played the Komets in the International Hockey League.
The Komets will also play three preseason games at home: vs. Evansville, Oct. 10 at 8:00 p.m.; vs. Evansville, Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m.; vs. Kalamazoo, Oct. 13 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets will be on sale during a special three-day pre-sale for season ticket holders on Sept. 2-5. Tickets go on sale to the general public in Sept. 5.
