Mets' Santana Throws Team's First Ever No Hitter

NEW YORK (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Lefty Johan Santana threw the first no hitter in the 51 year history of the New York Mets Friday night, and the third in the major leagues this season.

Santana, in only his eleventh start of the season after missing all the 2011 season following shoulder surgery, struck out eight, including David Freese to end the game won by New York 8-0.
