PHOENIX, Ariz. (21 Alive) - Former Norwell star and Oakland Athletics pitcher Jarrod Parker could be headed to the disabled list for Opening Day.

Parker will see a doctor Monday in Alabama about pain in his pitching arm that has not allowed him to pitch well in his three spring training outings to date.

Parker was being considered as the Oakland opening day starter prior to the issues with the arm.
