Portillo, TinCaps Blank West Michigan

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Adys Portillo threw six shutout innings and Austin Hedges belted a solo home run to lead the TinCaps to a 4-0 win over the West Michigan Whitecaps Monday night.

Portillo allowed just four hits and fanned three in moving to 3-1 on the year and lowering his earned run average to 1.22.

Hedges led off the fifth inning with his homer over the left field wall.

Mike Gallic had three hits and drove in a run for the TinCaps, who finish up their four game series with West Michigan Tuesday at 11am.
