FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) The TinCaps reached the Midwest League Playoffs for the fourth straight season Friday night with their 7-0 win over the West Michigan Whitecaps.
Erik Cabrera pitched shutout ball into the sixth inning, and Austin Hedges highlighted a four run sixth inning with a two run single.
Kyle Gaedele also had a run scoring hit, and West Michigan helped the Fort Wayne cause by making four errors in the game.
The TinCaps will finish the season with three games at Bowling Green starting Saturday night, and will open the playoffs at home next Wednesday against either Bowling Green or Lansing in the opener of a best of three playoff series.
