COMSTOCK PARK, MICHIGAN (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The TinCaps saw a 4-0 lead evaporate in a five run West Michigan seventh inning and lost to the Whitecaps 5-4 Friday night.
The Caps wasted a six inning shutout performance by Matt Wisler, as the bullpen fell apart in the big seventh inning.
RBI hits by Travis Whitmore and Mike Gallic drove in two runs in the first, with Travis Jankowski and Austin Hedges knocking in runs later.
The win moved West Michigan within two games of the TinCaps for the final second half Midwst League Eastern Division playoff spot.
Fort Wayne moves into Lansing for four games starting Saturday night.
