Fort Wayne (Indiana's NewsCenter) - In Wednesday's matinee series finale with the Dayton Dragons, the Fort Wayne TinCaps committed a season-high four errors en route to a 9-4 loss. Two Dayton home runs, one from Junior Arias and another from Yovan Gonzalez, were daggers in the TinCaps' quest for their first back-to-back wins in 2012. Tanner Robles (1-0) pitched five and two thirds innings, allowing four runs, walking one and striking out five, to earn the victory for the Dragons.
The game, tied 1-1 after one inning, turned in favor of Dayton (6-7) in the fourth. Junior Arias launched a three-run home run against Joe Ross (0-2), which put the Dragons in front 4-1. Dayton scored another run in the fifth and led 5-1 at the end of four and a half innings.

Fort Wayne (4-9), in its most fruitful inning of the afternoon, plated two runs in the fifth to pull to within two, at 5-3. In the sixth, TinCaps catcher Matt Colantonio grounded out to score Duanel Jones, and Fort Wayne trailed by just one run.

The seventh inning proved decisive, as Dayton scored four runs aided by three TinCaps errors. On the day, six different Dragons batters knocked in runs, led by Junior Arias' three. Seven of the nine Dayton starting position players had at least one hit, and Theo Bowe along with Juan Perez both contributed multi-hit performances.

Fort Wayne's Jace Peterson and Justin Miller both chipped in two hits apiece. Catcher Matt Colantonio has now hit in five straight games, and outfielder Kyle Gaedele has picked up a hit in six consecutive contests.

A six-game road swing begins for the TinCaps with a 7:00 game against the Kane County Cougars on Thursday night. Fort Wayne is scheduled to send righty Matt Wisler to the hill against Kane County righthander Brooks Pounders.
