FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Donovan Tate and Duanel Jones each had run scoring doubles as the TinCaps started the second half of the Midwest League season on the upbeat with a 4-3 win over Lake County on Friday night.
The win snapped a five game losing streak that the Caps ended the first half of the season with.
Tate doubled home the first run in the first and himself was knocked in by Austin Hedges' RBI infield single.
Jones made it 3-0 with his run producing double in the third and a wild pitch and an error brought him home with the fourth Fort Wayne run.
Frank Garces opened the second half with five solid innings on the hill to move his record to 3-4 and lower his ERA to 2.80.
