TinCaps Sweep Lake County

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- On a wet Wednesday afternoon, the TinCaps beat the Lake County Captains, 8 - 6, in front of a Parkview Field season - high crowd of 7,312. Fort Wayne fell behind 4 - 1 early, but came back to win their third in a row, and complete a series sweep of Lake County in the process.

A five - run bottom of the third gave theTinCaps a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Franmil Reyes delivered an run scoring single and Jake Bauers hit a two - run ground rule double to tie the game. Fort Wayne went in front, 6 - 4, when two runs scored on a throwing error by Lake County first baseman Nellie Rodriguez. The TinCaps open a four - game series in South Bend Thursday night.
