FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Mike Gallic scored all the way from first base on a throwing error during a pickoff attempt, and the Tincaps opened their series against the Great Lakes Loons with a 5-4 win Saturday night.
Gallic singled to open the eighth inning, and when Great Lakes catcher Yimi Garcia's throw to first to pick him off went down the right field line, Gallic picked himself up and circled the bases to score the deciding run.
Kyle Gaedele continued his hot hitting with two hits, one of them being his fifth home run, and two RBIs.
Daniel Cropper with the win in relief raised his record to 5-1.
The series continues Sunday afternoon.
