Tincaps Open Dayton Series With Shutout Win

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A five run first inning and Matt Wisler's shutout pitching were the right mix for a 5-0 TinCaps win over Dayton Saturday night.

Yeison Asencio's two run double opened the first inning scoring, which was concluded with RBI singles by Travis Jankowski and Jace Peterson, along with a bases loaded hit batsman.

The rest was Wisler with five innings of four hit shutout ball with four strikeouts to run his record to 5-4.

Game two of the series is Sunday at Parkview Field.
