Fort Wayne (Indiana's NewsCenter)- All of Walker Russell Jr's hard work has finally paid off. The Mad Ants point guard has been called up by the Detroit Pistons and will be leaving the Ants.
Russell Jr. spent training camp with the Pistons so it doesn't come as a total surprise but it is the first time the Pistons have signed a player from the D-League. Russell Jr. was averaging nearly a double-double a game this season in Fort Wayne with 16 points and 9.9 assists.
