FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Of all the original Komets from the 1952-53 season, George Drysdale has a distinction that will always be his: first Komet goal scorer.
Illness cut short Drysdale's playing career in 1955, and he went to the radio booth to call games with Bob Chase on WOWO.
Inducted in the Komets Hall of Fame in 2002, Drysdale is not shy to admit he will turn 85 in January.
