FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The Fort Wayne Komets managed to score five points and stay second in the Turner Conference standings, despite a bizarre week that leaves the K's without two key players for a handful of upcoming games.

The Central Hockey League announced Monday the suspensions of goalkeeper Nick Boucher and defenseman Bryant Molle for their roles in a brawl Friday night against Bloomington. Boucher is out four games, while Molle will sit for three games. Both players were ejected for the fight less than two minutes into the first period, so the suspensions nearly amount to five games and four games, respectively. The CHL did not further punish any Bloomington players.

The brawl can be connected to a fight Tuesday night between Komets center Colin Chaulk and Blaze defenseman that led to a concussion for Chaulk. Chaulk did not play Friday, and it is unclear if Chaulk will play Tuesday at Tulsa.

Through the injury and suspensions the Komets tallied a 2-1-1 record last week. The Komets beat Bloomington, 3-2, on Tuesday; lost, 5-4, on Friday; and won, 5-3, on Sunday. The K's also picked up a point in a 3-2 shootout loss to Allen on Saturday.

The K's have 68 regular season points, three behind conference leader Evansville.

The K's play two of three games on the road this week: 8:05 p.m. Tuesday at Tulsa, 8 p.m. Friday vs. Arizona and 8:15 p.m. Saturday at Evansville. You can catch all Komets road games at Wrigley Field Bar & Grill.

Komets president Michael Franke joins Tommy Schoegler on More of The Score to talk about a tumultuous week for the team.
