FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Former Fort Wayne Komets defenseman Kevin Bertram is one of the more memorable K's of the 21st century.
Bertram not only played on four league championship teams (three IHL Turner Cups and one UHL Colonial Cup), he is remembered for his work as a Fort Wayne firefighter.
Bertram played seven seasons in Fort Wayne, tallying 23 goals and 75 assists (98 points) and 944 penalty minutes.
Bertram won Komets Defenseman of the Year in 2001-02 and Unhung Hero Award in 2007-08 and 2008-09.
Bertram joined Tommy Schoegler on Sound Off With The Komets to talk about his time as a Komet and fireman.
