Komets' Carter To Play In France (VIDEO)

GAP, France - (21Alive) - Fort Wayne Komets winger Matt Carter has signed a contract with a French team.

Les Rapaces de Gap announced the addition of Carter on Wednesday. Les Rapaces, which loosely translates to "Predators," is a team based out of Gap, France, and plays in Ligue Magnus.

Carter, 26, of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, split time between Fort Wayne and Elmira this past season. He scored 17 points (9 goals, 8 assists) in 31 regular season games and 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) in the playoffs for the Komets.


Carter had been placed on the Komets' Protected Player List on Monday.
