FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - On the day the National Football League gets "Back to Football," another setback for Colts quarterback Peyton Manning grabs many of the sports headlines.
The Colts confirmed in a statement Thursday that Manning underwent a anterior fusion neck surgery earlier in the day. The Colts say there is no timetable for Manning's return.
With Manning out for the foreseeable future, Kerry Collins has been given the starting nod. Collins, a veteran NFL journeyman, has been a consistent winner throughout his career.
