Sound Off: Nye Remembers Dan Wheldon - Oct. 20

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The death of Dan Wheldon at Sunday's IndyCar Las Vegas Indy 300 World Championship sent shock through the sports world.

Arguably the face of open-wheel racing, Wheldon was a young, charismatic racing champion with a wife and two young sons.

As fans and fellow drivers mourn, questions about the safety of open-wheel racing has been ushered into a forefront.

Rich Nye, a sports reporter for WTHR-TV (Indianapolis), joined Tommy Schoegler and Kent Hormann to talk about Wheldon's career, and the future of open-wheel racing following Wheldon's tragic death.
