FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Canterbury's state title victory on Saturday afternoon put the Cavaliers back atop the state's soccer mountain again.
It had been 10 years since Canterbury last won a boys state soccer title. And even though soccer spilt into two classes this season, the state crown is still as special to head coach Greg Mauch and his players.
Canterbury won 6 consecutive postseason shutouts, including against Evansville Mater Dei in the 1A state final. The Cavs outscored their opponents, 30-0, during the course of the playoffs.
Mauch and midfielders Adam Antalis and Chase Moyle stopped by Sound Off to tell Tommy Schoegler and Kent Hormann what it is like to be state champions.
