FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A local boy has become one of the nation's top college quarterbacks. Northern Illinois quarterback Chandler Harnish, a Norwell grad, led the Huskies to the Mid-American Conference Championship this fall. Harnish picked up MAC Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year along the way.
Harnish looks to finish a dynamic college career against Arkansas State in the GoDaddy.com Bowl on Jan. 8.
The Bluffton native has amassed a 10-3 record this season, while throwing for 2,942 yards, 26 touchdowns and only 5 interceptions. Harnish has also rushed for 1,382 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground.
