FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The IHSAA Girls Basketball State Finals have become familiar territory for Bishop Luers. The Lady Knights play in their third consecutive 2A title game, looking for their second-straight state championship.
Luers is 12-1 since the turn of the calendar year. Their postseason trek to Terre Haute has looked easy, Despite a 42-40 scare against Eastside in the first round of sectionals, the Lady Knights beat their tournament opponents by an average of 22.5 points per game.
Luers is anchored by center Miracle Woods, who averages 17.7 points and 9.2 points per game. Forward Brooke Ridley compliments Woods with 12.2 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.
Evansville Mater Dei makes their first state finals appearance after winning the program's first regional and semi-state titles.
