INDIANAPOLIS (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The Indianapolis Colts released quarterback Peyton Manning on Wednesday, ending months of speculation what his future with the franchise would be.
Manning and Colts owner Jim Irsay held an emotional press conference, announcing the end of a 14-year era together.
Manning was drafted No. 1 overall by the Colts in the 1998 NFL Draft. Despite a dismal first season, the Colts averaged 10 wins per season with Manning on the roster.
No those talents go elswhere. With a handful of teams showing interest in Manning.
The end of the Manning era in Indy is not the end of the Manning story. And the next few weeks could turn the tides for a franchise by signing him.
