INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The field is set for the 96th running of the Indianapolis 500.
A lack of drivers provided a rather uneventful Bump Day at the track.
But 33 cars will roll out Sunday with hopes of drinking the milk in Victory Lane.
Leading the field is Ryan Briscoe, who looks for his first Indy win.
Helio Castroneves has won the Greatest Spectacle in Racing three times.
Dario Franchitti looks for his third, as well.
Missing from this year's field will be Dan Wheldon, who won last year's event. A tragic crash killed Wheldon in October. His widow, Suzie, and their children accepted his 2011 Indianpolis 500 Championship ring Thursday.
Ben Smith, a columnist with The Journal Gazette joins Dean Pantazi and Kent Hormann to preview this year's Indianapolis 500.
The 96th running of the Indianapolis 500 is Sun., May 26, on 21Alive. ESPN on ABC's coverage starts at 11 a.m. The drop of the green flag is at noon.
