Sound Off: SHinDigZ National Soccer Festival Preview - August

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The SHinDigZ National Soccer Festival returns to IPFW's Hefner Fields for its 13th year on Aug. 16-18.

This year, Club Deportiva de Gualajara, commonly called Chivas, will be at the Soccer Festival. Chivas will play Notre Dame on Thurs., Aug. 16, at 7 p.m.; and Indiana on Sat., Aug. 18, at 7 p.m.

The Chivas-IU match will be televised nationally on FOX Soccer Channel.

"This year, it becomes Inter/i>national Soccer Festival," Mike Roeth, festival organizer said on Sound Off. "This year is bigger, badder, bolder and going to be an awful lot of fun."

To accomodate Chivas' addition, seating will be doubled and a new scoreboard is being installed at the event, Roeth says.
