UNDATED (21 Alive) - North Side won a big game on a number of fronts Friday night, while Wayne, Carroll, and Woodlan kept their winning ways and Huntington North succeeded at home.

Mike Lovett ran for 105 yards and two touchdowns as North Side topped South Side 21-7 to both win the Totem Pole and take command of the Summit Athletic Conference race.

The Redskins and Snider are now both 5-1 in the SAC with a game remaining, but North Side holds the tiebreaker by virtue of their win earlier this season over the Panthers.

Austin Yarbro ran for 84 yards and three touchdowns as Wayne remained in the SAC title picture with a 28-0 win over Northrop.

Justin Tranquill racked up 169 rushing yards on just nine carries and scored three times while adding a fourth score on a punt return in Carroll's 56-0 pasting of Columbia City

Also a highlight of this game was the presentation of a check for almost five thousand dollars by Carroll students to the parents of injured Columbia City player Sam Dailey.

Jaylin Bennett ran for 142 yards and a touchdown and Woodlan won its fifth game of the season 28-7 over South Adams, the highest win total in six years for the Warriors.

Huntington North handed Richmond its first North Central conference loss of the season 35-16.
