FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Nicolas Reese tallied a one yard touchdown and Josh Spitnale booted a 21 yard field goal as Snider won the Summit Athletic Conference opening week football showdown over Bishop Luers 10-7 Friday night.
Snider's defense held Luers scoreless until Quinn Cook hit Michael Rogers with a fourth quarter touchdown pass.
Luers then got the ball in the final minutes but could not get into position for a tying field goal or a game winning touchdown.
The win prevented Snider from losing to Luers three straight years for the first time ever.
