Eastbrook Ousts Bellmont; Luers, Southern Wells Move On

UNDATED (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Eastbrook broke off five long scoring plays and rushed for 475 yards in shutting out Bellmont 34-0 in a 3A high school football sectional final Friday night.

Jeremy Porter-Jones ran for 174 yards and a touchdown, Colton Benedict had 151 rushing yards and two touchdowns, and Max Widmeyer added 148 yards on the ground and two more scores.

Daniel Meyer ran for 86 yards for Bellmont, who finished 8-4.

James Knapke threw for 158 yards and four touchdowns and Kenny Mullen and Quyuan Mattox each had a pair of touchdowns in Bishop Luers' 68-0 romp over Winchester in 2A.

Mattox also had a fumble recovery and an intercepetion for the Knights, who travel to Lewis Cass for regional next week.

Tyler Roush had 133 yards rushing and a touchdown, while Jacob Miller also ran for a score and 67 yards on the ground in Southern Wells' 17-3 1A sectional title win at Southwood.

The Raiders will travel again in regional, playing at Knightstown, east of Indianapolis.
