WOODBURN, Ind. (21Alive) - The Warrior Way led to a 8-4 season and sectional title last season for the Woodlan High School football team.

A year later, the younger guys are getting older, and head coach Sherwood Haydock is looking for even better play out of his team.

Woodlan loses running back Jaylin Bennet, the school record holder in rushing yards, to graduation. Enter Mitch Van Brocklin, who will have a heavy dose of play calls in what Haydock says will be a run-dominated offense.

Rich Ehle is the new quarterback for the Warriors. He will take snaps under center from a veteran offensive line; and look for options down the field for a solid receivers corp.

The defense should be sound too, returning seven starters from a year ago.

The Warriors open at Eastside on Aug. 22.
