Homestead Hosts Girls Basketball Summer Shootout (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21 Alive) - Homestead played host on Saturday to nine other schools at the Spartans' annual Summer Shootout.

Six girls basketball teams from the area, Homestead, Carroll, Columbia City, Norwell, South Side, and Concordia, were joined by Penn, Goshen Columbus North, and Indianapolis Roncalli each played four games.

The aim of these out of season events is to allow coaches to start to mold their teams for the following season, and most teams play three to four such events in June and July,
