The Caps built a 4-1 lead on a third inning RBI double by Casey McElroy in the third and a two run double by Duanel Jones and a run scoring single by Kyle Gaedele in the fourth.
But Bowling Green got three to tie it in the fifth and put the game away with a six run sixth.
Lee Orr hit his team leading sixth homer for the TinCaps, who conclude the series with Bowling Green Tuesday night.
