IPFW Men Win, Women Fall To IUPUI (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21 Alive) - Five Mastodons reached double-figure scoring, led by 19 points from Luis Jacobo, while Pierre Bland finished with 16 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists, as IPFW toppled the IUPUI 90-75 Saturday night

Steve Forbes added 16 points, Michael Kibiloski 14 and Mo Evans 10 for the Dons.

With the win, IPFW improves to 16-6 overall, tied for the third-best 22-game record to a season in program history, and the best in IPFW's NCAA Division I era.

The team's 4-1 Summit League record puts them in a two-way tie for first place in the league standings with North Dakota State, who topped South Dakota State Saturday night.

IUPUI was led by the 20 points of Khufu Najee.

IPFW remains at home, with game upcoming Omaha on Thursday night and Western Illinois on Saturday.

INDIANAPOLIS - The IPFW women erased a 15-point second half deficit Saturday, but still fell to IUPUI 70-68.

Haley Seibert led the Dons with 14 points, Amanda Hyde added 13, and Ariana Simmons came off the bench to score twelve.

The Mastodons (10-9, 3-2 Summit League), will head to Omaha on Thursday for their next game.
