WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA (www.incnow.tv) - Luke Pither converted a Komet giveaway in their own zone in overtime and score the game winning goal that gave the Wheeling Nailers a 3-2 win over the Komets Saturday night.
The K's had leads of 1-0 and 2-1, on a first period goal by Luca Caputi, and a second period score by Ryan Lasch, with Capuli and Lasch each assisting on the other's goal.
But Wheeling tied the game with six and a half minutes remaining, and then won it when Pither beat Charlie Effinger fifty seconds into overtime following the giveaway.
The K's complete the weekend with a Sunday game at home against Kalamazoo.
