ORLANDO, FLORIDA (www.incnow.tv) - Thomas Beauregard tied the game with seven seconds left and then had the lone goal in the shootout as the Komets rebounded for a 5-4 win at Orlando Friday night.
Beauregard and Brandon Marino staked the Komets to a 2-0 lead before Orlando turned it on to score four unanswered goal to lead 4-2 into the middle of the third period.
But Ryan Hegarty got the k's within one with nine minutes to play, and the K's pulled goalie Kenny Reiter to set up the tying score from Beauregard.
Reiter turned aside 40 of 44 shots for the win.
The two teams meet again Saturday night and Sunday in Orlando.
