TOLEDO,OHIO (www.incnow.tv) - Brandon Marino broke a 1-1 tie with his goal with under three minutes left and the Komets went on to a 3-1 win over Toledo Saturday night, halting their losing streak at six games.
Matt Syroczynski opened the scoring in the second period with a power play goal, but that was matched by Nino Musitelli for the Walleye in the third, tying the game until Marino untied it with his score.
J.M. Rizk added an empty net score with five seconds left for the final margin.
Jeff Deslauriers stood out in goal by stopping 28 of 29 shots.
The K's look to start a winning streak Sunday when they host Wheeling.
