FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Taylor Davis belted a third inning grand slam homer and sent the Peoria Chiefs on to a 5-2 win over the TinCaps Sunday.
Davis' blast capped a five run inning, the only inning Peoria scored in all day.
The TinCaps could not mount a reply, shut out on three hits until the eighth inning, when Travis Whitmore singled in their only two runs of the day.
The series and the six game home stand wrap up Monday at Parkview Field.
