South Slips Past Homestead, Snider Rolls Over Northrop (with Video)

FORT WAYNE (www.incnow.tv) - The two top dogs in Summit Athletic Conference girls basketball, South Side and Snider, took different paths to sectional championships Saturday night.

The Archers got two free throws from Lakyn Gulley in the finals seconds to edge Homestead 54-53 in the final of the 4A Homestead Sectional.

DeJoyah Johnson's 15 points led South, while Sydney Buck connected for 17 to lead Homestead.

South Side will meet Westfield next Saturday in the Kokomo Regional semifinals.

Snider will also go to Kokomo off their 67-29 rout of Northrop in the 4A Snider Sectional final.

Meredith Shipman paced the Panther attack with 23 points, while Aleah Swary's twelve topped the Bruins.

Snider meets Logansport next Saturday in Kokomo.
