INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana (www/incnow.tv) - Deshaun Thomas admitted to some nervousness when his selection by the San Antonio Spurs did not come until late in the second round of the NBA Draft.

Thomas was picked 58th overall in what became early Friday morning, triggering a celebration in the gathering of family and friends that joined him for the draft at an Indianapolis hotel.

Thomas says he is glad to be going to an organization with a history of success like the Spurs, one that has a great coach and veteran players.

He will head to San Antonio Monday and says he will work hard to win his spot on the team, and prove that his not being selected until late in the draft was other teams' mistakes.
