TinCaps Show Early Power Before Losing To South Bend

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Travis Whitmore and Yeison Asencio clubbed first inning homers, but the TinCaps' momentum pretty much ended there in a 9-3 loss to South Bend Saturday night.

The TinCaps were silenced most of the rest of the way, and South Bend went to the lead with three runs in the sixth inning and then put the game away with a four run seventh.

Matt Helm, Marc Bourgeios, and Ender Inciarte each had two hits and two RBI fior the Silver Hawks.

The two teams meet again Sunday.
