BOWLING GREEN, Kent. (21 Alive) - The TinCaps moved into the drivers seat in the battle for the final Midwest League Eastern Division playoff spot by sweeping a doubleheader at Bowling Green Sunday night.

Fernando Perez's base clearing double in the fourth inning was the key in the 3-1 Game 1 victory, and run scoring singles by Nick Schulz and Henry Charles in the second inning were the difference in the 2-1 Game 2 win.

The two wins left Fort Wayne a half game in front of Great Lakes, and a game in front of Dayton, and mean that the TinCaps are in the playoffs with a win Monday, regardless of whatever else happens.

A loss would leave the issue in question.
