MARION (www, incnow.tv) - Fourth ranked Saint Francis blew an early eleven point lead, then rallied from seven points down in the second half to upend top ranked Indiana Wesleyan 54-48 in the championship game of the Crossroads League women's basketball tournament Monday night.
Saint Francis led 23-11 before going nearly twelve minutes with just one field goal, allowing Indiana Wesleyan to rally and get a 42-35 second half lead.
But Skylurr Shurn led a big comeback fueled by a cranked up USF defense, and had 15 of her 21 points in the second half.
It was Shurn who fed Meghan Slusher for the go ahead bucket and three point play in the final minutes.
Kayla Drake had eight of her twelve points in the first half for USF, who will learn their seeding for the upcoming NAIA Division II Tournament on Wednesday.
